Job Description

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the cleaning of guest rooms ensuring thorough inspection and that standards of cleanliness and guest comfort are maintained to the highest level according to our company standards.
  • Ensuring that room cleaning productivity is monitored closely and maintained.
  • Establishing and maintaining cost control systems for staff, linen inventories, cleaning, and guest supplies.
  • Training of all staff to use equipment and cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
  • Oversee the correct storage and control of all cleaning in line with the environmental procedures and the approved chemical register.
  • Effective communication within the Department, Front Office, and guests by providing updates on changes to strive for consistent improvement to guest satisfaction and team performance.
  • Report maintenance requirements for guest accommodation and public areas to the General Manager, monitoring to ensure prompt action has been taken.
  • Administrative tasks such as rostering, approving timesheets, recording and accurately storing lost property and keeping all storage areas secure and locked.
