Job Description
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development professional to join our team, responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities, as well as converting group enquiries into confirmed business.
This role is based at our Brisbane Head Office and reports directly to the General Manager of Sales.
About the Role:
New business development and account management within the corporate, travel agents, conference organisers and group coordinators.
Supporting key partnerships with convention centres, performing arts, sporting organisers, entertainment agents and tourism authorities.
Qualify new enquiries and national opportunities
Proactive sales calls to qualify and prospect for new business in line with weekly KPI targets. Cluster sales roll to cross sell multiple locations for travelling groups.
Conduct client site inspections, host clients at relevant entertainment opportunities and attend trade show’s
Work with internal revenue and groups admin teams for accurate quoting and converting business
Communicate with marketing on upcoming events to promote on social media
Reporting and completion of activities logged in CRM - Hubspot
Any other reasonable tasks allocated by the General Manager - Sales or Chief Commercial Officer.
Desired Skills and Experience
Desired Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in sales, preferably within the hotel or hospitality sector
A minimum of 1 years' experience in a Sales/ Business Development capacity in the Australian market with a successful track record.
A good understanding of the accommodation sector and clear understanding of the distribution network.
Experience in working towards targets and key performance indicators along with CRM reporting.
Confidence to put forward your ideas and contribute to a dynamic team that makes decisions and acts on them quickly.
A good communicator and team player who focuses on organization success and has an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
Ability to multitask and strong time management skills
Ability to work full time with resident visa
